When I design a sight I design first and code second. I find that using pure CSS layout , like an obnoxious backseat driver, often ends up stearing the design a little bit in the end. This is most often a problem when floating elements inside a centered div – the darn footer elements colapse upwards; don't float use positining and margins? Crossbrowser catastrophe! Usually one simple table takes care of so many things.

Hey, very nice tutorial. Did you try a Cool Button Designer? I think it is a best web button creator – if you dont have a photoshop or dont know how to use it. You can also apply the CSS to the graphics created in Cool Button Designer. I suggest you to try it, it has bunch of features, and creates a cool looking buttons. Just google for Cool Button Designer.

@ARMAND – it's just art I made in photoshop – the image: http://freeyourdesign.com/images/wrap_bg.gif and used css to position it and the header graphic. I also have a background image that repeats horizontally across the top to match the wrap_bg.gif – background image: http://freeyourdesign.com/images/bg.gif
